I have been reading about the proposed restoration of the downtown Augusta, GA Miller Theater, which is 70 years old according to the newspaper. It is part of our history and I for one would love to see it restored and see musicals or plays performed there. Our downtown area needs more restoration to make it a great place to live, walk, and having fun places to go. There are so many old buildings which could be turned into condos, office space, businesses, retail if people with the mind-set and money and vision could just see it. Have you ever seen downtown Greenville, SC? It is beautiful, tree-lined, with shops and restaurants and people walking all over. “A Night At The Moulin Rouge” would be great to see at the Miller. Come on, City of Augusta, let’s get going!
